The Met — Art Links

The team behind Lightyear led the development of Art Links, The Met’s first blockchain-based educational game that allowed visitors to collect digital tokens tied to artworks and unlock new learning pathways across the museum.

Designed to be intuitive and frictionless, Art Links introduced blockchain as a quiet, supportive layer rather than a technical hurdle. Lightyear partnered with Shape, an Ethereum L2 built for artists and creators, to support liquidity for cultural assets starting with XCOPY’s COPE SALADA.

Through active market-making support, and a contract that transparently tracks wallets trading with Lightyear, the collaboration introduced a more liquid and participatory market structure for collectors.
